Steve was a good friend of many many years, dating back to my days in Ann Arbor, and many visits to his family's home in Port Austin, as well as Traverse City. I remember his very gracious mother, and his many marathons. He will be greatly missed.

I am saddened to learn of Steve's passing. I first met Steve when he worked in the Medical Service Plan at U of M and was delighted when he took over from me at the Anesthesiology Department. The department was better for him being there. One of the really great guys. I was privileged to know him.

Today I have just learned of the passing of Steve who I worked with at U of M in the Department of Anesthesiology. What a great guy and I wish I could have said goodbye. He kept me on the straight and narrow and got me started running encouraging me not to give up! He was a dynamic personality and I will miss him.

We enjoyed many beautiful summer days at the Loney cottage, mostly due to Steve's willingness to schedule the time for us. What glorious memories we have, also with Steve sitting on the deck, watching the sun go down over the lake. We'll miss him. Jim and Chris ODonnell

I met Steve when I joined the anesthesiology department. I always found Steve helpful, thoughtful and funny. So low key but always ready with a pun. The few years I worked with him, it seemed he was always off on an adventure somewhere.
He will be missed by many in the community.
