On Tuesday September 29, 2015, Mr. Alvin B. Nash, Jr. age 91 of Lawrenceville, GA, beloved husband of Rebecca Presley Nash, passed away. Loving father of Alvin P. Nash (Judy) of Roswell, Ga. and Susan Dodson (Richard) of Lawrenceville, GA. Beloved grandfather of Judson Paul Nash (Whitney), Jessica Ann Earnest (Josh), Shaun Dodson (Lauren) and Kevin Dodson. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Bray, Ann Presley, Jackson, and Emery, his sisters Kathleen Brewer and Mary Harlan, and loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert.
Alvin is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, a graduate of Tech High; he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in the Panama Canal during World War II. He retired from the Hartford Insurance Company after 42 years.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Floral Hills Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA, where funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m., burial will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
