I worked many years with both Mary and Bob. Always thought highly of both.  I send my heart felt sympathy to Mary and family. 

We are so proud and honored to have shared the love of Jesus Christ with Bob and Mary at Mt. Carmel Christian Church.  Bob is the epitome of a true Southern gentleman; he is also a beautiful example of a true Child of God.  Bob's love and respect for Mary speaks volumes for his "Servant's heart".  As Paul writes in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I (BOB) have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me a crown of righteous".    Jesus will welcome Bob home, as Matthew writes in Matthew 25:21, "His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Barbara: Bob (and Mary) are two extremely SPECIAL people! Not only were we special friends with them at Mt. Carmel, but Larry and I worked with them at the Lakewood Plant!  DOUBLE BLESSINGS.   So in addition to each week at Church, then Ladies Group with Mary, we always saw Bob (and Mary before she got sick)  at our GM Lakewood Retiree Club quarterly meetings!   Forever, Bob was the Club's Treasurer! (gave it up finally a couple of years ago) All of us who attend the meetings do now and will always still say his saying when he gave his Report.  something like "well, we are still solvent...".   We will always have Bob's rose garden at Mt. Carmel to enjoy, and think of him.  Oh how I, and everyone, will miss him.  He will never be forgotten.  Even if you did not get to talk to Bob, just seeing him helped.  His strong, SWEET presence.  Oh so kind.  and so smart etc.  Our heart goes out to you and Mary and Family.
