Born on August 28, 1937, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Carmen was the eldest of five children of Lydia and Armando Alvarez. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. A self-taught artist and seamstress, she inspired her children with her strength, wisdom, and creativity.
She is survived by her children: Tony Siso, Nelson Siso Jr., Nancy Santos, Yvonne Siso, and Yvette Tate; her grandchildren: Tanya Hinzman, Matthew Siso, Adam Siso, Mark Siso, Asia Aponte, Ian Carby, Nydia Santos, Angel Santos, Alec Bush, Zachary Bush, Hannah Shelton, and Joshua Tate; and her great-grandchildren: Mia Siso, Colton Siso, Ava Hinzman, Caroline Hinzman, Charlotte Hinzman, Carmen Siso, Kathleen Siso, Cassadee Siso, CJ Siso, Axel Bush, Arrow Bush, Ruby Aponte, Alma Aponte, and Isaac Carby.
A service to honor Carmen’s life will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084. Visitation and viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 p.m.
Carmen will be remembered for the love and laughter she brought to her family and for her deep-rooted faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ.
