Born October 29th, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan, Carol Seabury Strong, age 100, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in Tucker, GA. She was the daughter of the late William Warner Seabury and Doris Seabury. Married in Detroit, she was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Oliver Milton Strong, Jr., son Richard Strong and his ex-wife Denise Draftz Strong, son Robert Strong, sister Marilyn Seabury Hughes, and all her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Left to mourn are her son, Douglas Strong, daughters-in-law Laura Strong, Pamela Strong, and Bonnie Strong, daughter Carol Young, son-in-law Robert Young, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many beloved family and friends.
Carol attended Oberlin College in Ohio for two years, and graduated from Michigan State University, majoring in music. While her children were young, she stayed home to raise them and taught private piano lessons. In later years, she served as a dental assistant and office manager in her husband’s office.
She enjoyed playing piano, and served as church organist in several different churches over the years. Both she and Ollie enjoyed RV’ing, traveling all over the country for months at a time in their various motor homes, and playing bridge and golf. They took the opportunity to move to south Florida in 1972, where they lived until retirement, then moved to central Florida. Ten years ago, Carol moved to Atlanta to be closer to her children.
Carol will be sorely missed by those who knew her, but we are confident that such a kind, wonderful, thoughtful, sweet, intelligent lady is with God and our Lord Jesus Christ, a better place for her at this time.
