Carolee Smith Buffington entered into rest on June 21, 2014, at 98 years old. She was born in Warwick, Georgia on April 16, 1916. She was preceded in death by her parents: Vester B. Odom and Emmie Scott Odom. She had two husbands: Charlie Walter Smith, Enigma, Ga (1980) and Joseph Buffington, Lithonia, Ga (1996). She is survived by her five children, Jackie Ogle( Harold, deceased) of Eatonton GA, Joyce Bryant (David) Johns Creek GA, Terry Smith (Laura) Smyrna GA, Phillip Smith (Maria) Lakeland FL, and Joanna Davis ( Manis) Thomson GA. She had 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She lived 97 years independently, aided by her loving caregiver, Dina Greenway. She was best known for her love of her faith, her family, and her flowers.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am June 28, 2014 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA.
