On Thursday, October 23, 2014, Carolyn Laverne Abney, beloved wife of Roland H. Abney passed away. Daughter of the late Hercules and the late Ruby Lee Williams; loving mother of Sean Williams, Decatur, GA, Anthony Stepherson (Stacy), Ellenwood, GA, Nicole Holland Smith (Edmund), Suffolk, VA. She is also survived by brothers and sisters; the late Hercules Williams (Janice), Savannah, GA, Alexander Williams (Estella), Savannah, GA, Jessica Edmonds (Commodore), Lynwood, IL, the late Cheryl Williams, Patricia Williams (Leroy), Savannah, GA, Dean Carson (Sharon), Savannah, GA, Willie Carson, Savannah, GA, David Williams, Savannah, GA, her beloved grandchildren, Antwan, Zhane’ and Jaylen Stepherson, Seantavia Williams, Wynita Young, several brothers in-law and sisters in-law, an aunt, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA, for visitation on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11:30 a.m., Columbia Drive United Methodist Church, 2067 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30032, with burial to follow in Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia.
