Cecil Lawrence Sweat, 82, of Grayson, went home on Monday, November 18. Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carole Wilson Sweat. Children: Gary & Shauna Sweat, Jeff & Kim Sweat, Sharon & James Beddingfield and Wanda Sweat. Grandchildren: Sarah, Jordyn, Peyton, Hannah, Hunter, Garrett, Holt, Dakota and Brooklyn. Great grandchildren: Sadie, Aiden and Rylee. Brother Wayne Sweat and wife Melba; sister Lynette Sweat Hutchinson and husband Jim. Nieces and nephews: Lisa, Jennifer, Tony, Chris, Derek and Shanna.
Larry loved deer hunting, archery, and camping for as long as he was physically capable. He was an active member of Yellow River Baptist Church & Bethany Baptist Church where he was an ordained deacon. He loved his Lord, loved his church, his pastors and many dear friends in the church.
Most of all Larry loved his family and his family loved him in return with all of their hearts and souls. He was a loving and devoted husband to Carole who was his best friend and soul mate. Through all of his days he did the best that he could to provide for his wife, children, grand-children and great grand-children. Although he has moved on to a better place, Larry will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
