

Charles is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Karen Hibbets; grandchildren, Charles and Gwendolyn Hibbets; his niece, Tara Lindsey, her husband Kelly Lindsey, and their children Jackson and Josie; and his niece, Lisa Quinn, and her husband Kevin Quinn. He is preceded in death by his wife, Amira Hibbets; sister, Pamela Richards; and parents, Richard and Lorene Hibbets.
Charles was born on June 23, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Purdue University in 1971, and had a career in chemicals, water treatment, and sales. He married Amira Aboul-Hosn in 1974, and the couple had one son, Richard. Charles’ travels took him throughout the country and around the world, from the Middle East to Europe, making friends wherever he went. He will always be remembered for his charm, wit, and storytelling.
A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, April 28, 2003 at 3pm, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3006 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, Georgia. Pastor Andy Wrasman of Oak Road Lutheran Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
