Mr. Charles Frederick Mullins (Boots), age 93, passed away on April 27, 2018. Charles was born in Miami, Florida on January 27, 1925 to Leon Homer and Mary Elizabeth, but moved at an early age to Atlanta. He loved his country and proudly served in the Marine Corp during World War ll. He married the love of his life, Treva, on May 21, 1948 and they enjoyed almost 70 years of marriage. Together, they raised their family in the Decatur area and were active at First Baptist Church Avondale Estates for over 50 years. He and Treva were also avid bowlers. They bowled in numerous leagues and traveled the country competing in tournaments. Charles was a master auto mechanic and was retired from Sears Automotive.
In addition to Treva, survivors include son, Garry Mullins (Jeanine) and daughter Brenda Boudreau (Gene). Grandchildren include Duanne McLaine, Damien Boudreau (Holly) and Megan Barker (Ty); four Great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the chapel at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 1st at 1:00 pm. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens and a reception will follow interment.
