Clarence Irvin Dawson, 92, of Stockbridge, GA passed away on May 4, 2020. He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Elinor Ruth Dawson, two sons, David Irvin (Diana) and Philip Alan (Mary Ellen); and daughter Deborah Ruth New (Terry); 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was a graduate of the University of Richmond and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a dedicated Christian and served with the North American Mission Board for 40 years in California, Arizona, and Atlanta, Georgia. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Morrow, serving as a Sunday School teacher, life-long deacon, and on various committees. A graveside service for family only will be held Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Morrow, when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Morrow.
