

Born July 11, 1938 in Lexington, North Carolina to James and Katherine Redwine, David graduated from Lexington High School followed by North Carolina State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, David served honorably in the United States Army.
After brief stints in Brockton, Massachusetts and Tampa, Florida working for Beaman Corporation, he moved to Tucker, Georgia in 1979 and began Petroleum Services Corporation. David was a meticulous general contractor and built restaurants, gas stations, and convenience stores across the southeast. With his longtime crew of Floyd, Tony, Drew, Cecil, and several others, he loved his work and was 100% committed to doing everything the right way. In addition to his professional career, he enjoyed playing tennis and spending time with his family and his dog “Sugar” in Georgia and at the family farm in North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Charles Robert Redwine and his brother-in-law, Paul Edward Allred.
David is survived by and was most proud of his children and grandchildren including son David Ruffin Redwine, Jr (LeAnne) and granddaughters Georgia, Lilly, and Anna Belle of Cypress, Texas; daughter Ann Michelle Redwine Nix (Tim) and granddaughter Cassidy and grandsons Carson and Ryan of Jasper, Georgia. He is also survived by his sister, Jemmietta Redwine Allred, sister-in-law Sandra Elaine Redwine, and the mother of his children, Cissy Hunt Redwine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. His ashes will be spread at a later date in his beloved North Carolina.
