Dianne Hiers Wood, age 78, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, died on November 18, 2025. Mrs. Wood was born in Walterboro, SC, daughter of Marion and Jewell Hiers. She was a member of Tucker First United Methodist Church and the Searchers Sunday School class. She was also a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Smoke Rise Country Club.
Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur. She is survived by her two children, Art Wood (Karen), Stone Mountain, and Ashley Person (Clay), San Antonio, TX; her four grandchildren, Clara Person, Trace Wood, Ann Person, Makenna Wood; her sister, Phyllis McInerney (John), Edisto Island, SC, many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Tucker First United Methodist Church at 1 pm with remains placed in state at 12:30 pm. Rev. Owen Skinner and Rev. Mike Cash will officiate. Interment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens at 2:30 pm. Family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker GA.
