

Dolores, Lorrie to her friends and family, was born on April 26, 1936, in Spokane, Washington to Frederick and Elisabeth Pierce. Although she lived in many cities as an adult, her heart never left Spokane. She attended Eastern Washington University where she met and married Jerry Miller. They were married for 48 years until Jerry’s death in 2005.
Lorrie’s love for Jesus and Christian music were very important to her. She was a choir director for several Lutheran churches over 40 plus years. She also taught beginner’s piano lessons.
Lorrie enjoyed crafting, reading, sewing clothes for her 4 children before each school year and decorating elaborate birthday cakes. Lorrie and Jerry enjoyed traveling especially on cruises.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammi (Bob) Bartlett of San Antonio, Texas, Kim Lovett of Winder, Georgia, daughter in-law, Carolyn Miller of Tucker, Georgia; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Derrick) Onate, Craig (Isabel) Bartlett, Christopher Lovett, Madison (Aaron) Ackermann, Molly (Tejash) Patel and Davis Miller; her great grandchildren, Ethan Bartlett, Zoe Bartlett, and Miller Patel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her parents; her son, Rick Miller; daughter, Stacy Miller; son in-law, Michael Lovett; her sister Joyce Spear and brother Fred Pierce.
A Funeral Service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cremation, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, US, on August 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
