Donald Wayne Lloyd was born December 10, 1956, in Oceanside, Calif., to Frances Elizabeth and Frank Wilson Lloyd. The family settled in the Garden Hills neighborhood of Atlanta, Ga., in 1965, where Don attended Garden Hills Elementary and North Fulton High School.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force for six years, he attended the Portfolio School, earning an associates degree in photography. He was a talented photographer who posted many of his photographs on Facebook. He worked as a professional photographer for several years before joining Buckhead Movers as manager, sales coordinator.
Don married his wife, Dianna, in 1989, and they were happily married for 31 years.
Don loved music and playing the guitar. He also loved nature and animals, and went on several hiking and camping adventures to the Sierra Nevada mountains and elsewhere with his pal, Mark Puckett. He enjoyed cars and attending car races, as well as going to vintage car events. But most of all, he loved his family – his wife, his brothers and sisters, his nephews and nieces, his cousins – and his friends. He was known as a sweet, kind and understanding man and as someone who lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife; sister, Brenda; three brothers, Billy, David, and Bruce, as well as several nieces and nephews, grandnephews, a grandniece, and many cousins.
