Dorothy Quick North

Visitation will be 1:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2017, at Floral Hills Funeral Home 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2017 at Floral Hills Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Louis Miller and Dr. Amy Morgan of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Dorothy was born in Marlboro County, South Carolina to William & Mary Quick on September 2, 1926. She attended Dillon and Marlboro County schools and attended Draughon’s Business College in Columbia S.C. She married George E. North, Jr. on September 27, 1947 in Columbia, S.C. She worked as a secretary at many businesses including Equifax for five years from which she retired.

Dorothy is preceded in death by parents William A. Quick & Mary Yong Quick, brother Thomas A. Quick, sisters Janie Q. Broome & Sarah Q. Clark, and grandson David A. North.

Dorothy is survived by husband George E. North, sons G. Michael North, Christopher P. North, Richard A. North & their families, and sister Cornelia Q. Liposchak

Pallbearers will be Grandsons Ryan North, John North, Mathew North, Andrew North, Steven North, Robert North. Honorary pallbearers will be Granddaughters Stephanie Debski, Amanda Diehl, Katie North, Christy North, Dana North.

Memorials may be given to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, or The National Parkinson Foundation.
