Loving father of Jodie Davis (Keith) and the late Jim Claunch (Sylvia), he is also survived by seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a host of loving family, friends, a special care-giver, Thelma Harris.
Edd was an avid football fan of Louisiana State University (LSU), where he earned a scholarship and played several years as center. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he received an honorable discharge.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 6-8 p.m., Floral Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, where funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
