Edwin John Moehring

Edwin J. Moehring, aged 79 of Avondale Estates passed on March 13, 2023 after a long journey with cancer. Born in Atlanta, Georgia in August of 1943, he grew up in the Decatur and Avondale Estates areas and graduated from Avondale High School in 1961.

After being employed by NuArc Company for 32 years, he retired and then joined Lowes for 15 years before retiring with them. He met the love of his life in 1963 and together they spent 59 years working and raising a family who is blessed to call him husband, father and grandfather. He was happiest being with family and friends, being in the workshop on a project or watching a Nascar race on a Sunday afternoon after church. As a devout Christian, he made sure his family was lead in faith and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. His passing leaves an opening in our lives that can never be filled.

He is survived by his loving wife Brenda, daughter and son-in-law Cheri and Wayne Griffin,

daughter Debbie King, and granddaughter Kristin Elam, who held a very special place in his heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Florence Moehring, sister Florence Purcell and

parents-in-law, Dawin and Katherine Gault.

For those who knew him well, please take a moment to remember him fondly and even share a laugh as

he would want that in place of sadness and tears.
