She was born in Conyers, GA the daughter of the late David Arnold and Elah Mae Stevens Whitaker.
Elah was a passionate animal lover. She was a member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
Elah was a railroad clerk for Southern Railroad.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chesley Doak.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Spain of Tucker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the First Reformed Presbyterian Church of Tucker. Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm at the church.
