Elizabeth "Betsy" A. Fitzgerald

She is survived by her husband David L. Fitzgerald Sr. of Eatonton, GA: her children Melissa Atkinson of Watkinsville, GA, Robert McElreath of Lilburn, GA, David L. Fitzgerald Jr. of Tucker, GA: her granddaughter Elizabeth Atkinson of Dahlonega, GA: her sister Susan Hicks of Conyers, GA: and many more in her extended family.

Betsy Fitzgerald was born on April 1, 1951 in Bristol, Virginia to Robert C. and Mary Sue Alley who preceded her in death.

She grew up in Tucker, GA and lived there most of her life. She was a member at Embry Hills United Methodist Church. She graduated from Tucker High School in 1969 and attended North Georgia College in Dahlonega, GA. She worked in the Excess and Surplus lines of the Property and Casualty Insurance industry her whole career where she was so well loved. She retired from Arch Insurance Group in Alpharetta, GA as Vice President, E&S Property in 2016 and she and her husband moved to Lake Sinclair in Eatonton, GA.

She was a loving mother, nana, sister and a "cool aunt with the prestigious job." She was involved in the Elks Auxilary and the American Legion over the years. She will be deeply missed by so many.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084. A memorial service will occur at 2:00 PM with an InUrnment to immediately follow.

After the burial, all are invited to the home of CJ and Alice Hicks at 2742 Thornbriar Rd. Atlanta, GA 30340 for catered refreshments and shared memories.
