Evelyn Wilma Calkins

Evelyn Calkins age 91 of Decatur GA passed away on July 31, 2022. She was born in Cleveland, OH, to parents Arden and Wilma Bonnett Clark and grew up one of 6 children in Cleveland. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate of 42 years the late Perry Calkins. They relocated to Decatur in the early 70’s. Evelyn will be remembered as a kind, loving and generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who always had a kind word and warm smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Gayle Maddox (Steve) Lawrenceville, GA, son Ronald Calkins, Decatur, GA, 4 Grandchildren, 3 great - grandchildren, 1 brother and many beloved nieces and nephews. Her wish is to be cremated and interred with her soul mate. Interment at Floral Hills Memory Garden at a later date.
