She grew up in Export, Pennsylvania, in a farm family of three boys and three girls: Richard Kistler, Donald Kistler, Dean Kistler, Ann Shigo, Evelyn London, and Jean Sucher. Evelyn's parents, John and Ruth Kistler, and her brother Richard preceded her in death.
Evelyn was a registered nurse, a prolific editor, and a ghostwriter of books. Despite years of multiple health issues, she played violin in orchestras both at First Baptist of Daytona Beach, Florida, and at Briarlake Baptist Church in Tucker, Georgia.
Evelyn was married twice in her life--to Ovid Campbell and to Richard London. Both preceded her in death. She had five children, all surviving her: Janet, Linda, David, Tom, and Tim.
Evelyn's legacy includes eight grandchildren (Evan, Greg, Damaris, Arwen, Christina, Valerie, David, and Marcos) and three great-grandchildren (Shepard, Annie, and Garrison). Evelyn loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She often prayed that all of her relatives would come to repentance and faith in Christ, and to walk with Jesus.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA and on Saturday, July 8, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Briarlake Baptist Church, 3715 LaVista Road, Decatur, GA. The funeral service begins at 10:00 a.m. immediately following. There will be a private interment in Ormond Beach, Florida the next week.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Immigrant Hope Atlanta.
