Big George my memory of you will never leave me. My son Jackson George was named after the late great Jack Loersch and you George. His name , Jackson George Strohmeyer. He's 12 now.
I will never forget the tour of the Fulton County Jail George gave my sisters and I when we would visit Atlanta from WI.
When I first met you, you were living out of a suitcase at Jack Loerschs house. I thought you were a real gypsy when I was a kid.
I just found out of your passing today January 3 2012. If anyone can provide me some details about how George passed I would appreciate it. You can e-mail me @
Rest in peace my friend.

George was a friend of mine since our high school days at Avondale. There never was a better friend. My thoughts are with his family, who must know how much we will miss him.

George, I know it means a lot to be able to look out for Johnny again, but this place just got too quiet, too soon.

Big George, we miss you terribly, but know that you were needed elsewhere. There are some young troops who will be a lot safer because of the big angel looking over them. Semper Fi - you were loved.
