Your Dad was a very fine man. I always admired & respected him for all he went through in WW2. Countless people who never knew him enjoyed the results of his work in Stone Mtn. park & the beautiful grounds he helped create.
I am so very sorry for his passing.

I worked with Mr. Oortman at Stone Mountain Park's greenhouse in the mid 80's.  I thought of him often over the years as I worked in my own yard.  He taught me so much in the short time we worked together.  I so hope he enjoyed his retirement in North Georgia.
