Gertrude Alma (Hermanas) Budreckas

Gertrude Alma Budreckas is survived by her daughter Ingrid Budreckas, of Decatur, GA, her grandchildren, Michael David Hall and wife Christal of Fayetteville, GA and Robert Anthony Hall and wife Lori of Lilburn, GA; nephews, John Muirhead and family of Oxfordshire, England, Stephen Muirhead and family, of Quinte West, Ontario, Canada; and Victor Brigmantas and family of Bellingham, Washington State, USA. She is preceded in death by Robert V. Budreckas, her loving husband, of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada; her sisters Elena (Lylka Hermanas-Muirhead) Kanschat and Gerda (Hermanas) Brigmantas, of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada and both parents.

Gertrude Alma Budreckas was born on January 22, 1928 in Taurage, Lithuania, to parents Elimis Hermanas and Agatha (Bagdonas) Hermanas. During WWII, she and her family left Lithuania and after the war arrived in England. In 1956 she moved to Toronto, Canada with her husband Robert and daughter Ingrid.

She went to work at Neilson’s Ltd as a machine operator, where she worked for more than twenty years.

Following her and her husband’s retirement, they relocated to Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada.

After the passing of her husband in 1992, she moved to Decatur, Georgia in 2001, to live with her daughter, Ingrid (Hall) Budreckas where she remained until the end.

Gertrude was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married Robert V. Budreckas in England and the couple had one child together.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a caring and loving person.

The gravesite service is scheduled for July 3, 2021 at 10 am, at Floral Hills Memorial Garden at the Mausoleum. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gertrude’s life.
