GLORIA VANSANDT HENDERSON, age 90, passed away on June 2, 2014. She was born in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late Luke Aubury VanSandt and Marianne McKinney VanSandt on August 4, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen C. Henderson, Jr., son, Charles Terry Goss, Sr., and brother, Jack VanSandt. She is survived by her son, A. Sidney Goss, III and wife Carolyn, daughter-in-law Carol Z. Goss, step-sons, Stephen C. Henderson, III and wife Carla, Richard Henderson and wife Jennifer, four grandchildren, Kimberly McCleary, Tiffany Rouse, Leanne Goss and Terry Goss, Jr., sister-in-law, Millie Cavanaugh and five great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Golden Living Center in Decatur, GA on June 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be conducted at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
