Greta worked as obstetrics and gynecology secretary for 10 years in Miami, Florida. Then moved to Georgia and worked at Sibley Heart for another 10 years. After she retired, she worked from home transcribing for several doctors in multiple fields.
She was actively involved in studying the bible scriptures with the New Covenant Congregation of Israel, tending to her garden, and spending time with her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mavis Hudson Wilkinson, Son Jefferey Mellerson, and Husband, Albert Mellerson.
Greta is survived by her Daughter Cheryl Stewart; Grandchildren Omar Hayles, Shawna Stewart, and Sasha Stewart.
The family of Greta Mellerson would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to the many friends and family for all of the comforting acts of kindness shown to us during our time of bereavement. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 3, 2026 at 11:00 am at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
