Harry Vaughn Hewey, age 92, died Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Pebblebrook facility of Park Springs located in Stone Mountain, GA. Harry was a soldier, leader, explorer, hunter, fisherman, photographer, artist, sports fan, historian, devoted husband and all around great man who lived a full life and in turn enriched the lives of everyone around him. He served honorably in WWII earning the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal and the Victory Medal World War II. He was also a member and past Master of the Gate City Masonic Lodge #2, member of the Yarrab Shrine Temple and past President of the Salamala Shine Unit and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Atlanta. Harry is survived by his wife Hilda H. Hewey. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2017, 11:00am at the Floral Hills Cemetery.
