Homer Lee Williams (HL) from Lilburn, GA, age 74, passed away with his family by his side, on Friday, October 12, 2018, in Duluth, GA from complications associated with Parkinson’s Disease. HL was born on June 24, 1944 in Dublin, GA, to his parents Mary Louise Wilkins and Homer Lee Williams Sr. HL is survived by Mary Williams, his wife of 55 years, his three children, Robert, David (Courtney) and Cathy Rummage (Robert), and his four grandchildren Alex, Megan, Michael and Madison, brother in law Robert Hugo, and sisters in law Kay Hugo and Peggy Lavenson and multiple nieces and nephews.
HL served honorably in the United States Army as a 1st Lt. at Fort McClellan, AL, for over three years. He graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Accounting, and he was a Certified Public Accountant. During his career, he was able to travel throughout the United States and Europe among other places. These trips, plus his trip with Mary to celebrate their wedding anniversary to Hawaii, were cherished memories. In addition to his career, HL was an avid reader, he enjoyed listening to classical music and watching the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Tech football on TV.
A family memorial will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at HL and Mary’s home in Lilburn, GA.
