My deepest condolences to the family of Ian. To Anna and Sharon I can never express the amount of sorrow I feel for someone taken so young. I can not empathize with you for I have not felt the loss of a child but I can surely sympathize with your pain and anger. This is my favorite poem, something I have read many times upon a family member passing or a close friend and it gives me hope and makes me feel just a little better. I hope you like it.

Ian was such a bright light and great person to be around I didn't know him for long but being around him in 5th period in Mr.Adams class last year I understood his talent and gift. RIP Ian i send my prayers to his family.

My heart breaks for your families, honey. Shine brightly down on them now. When the wind blows may they hear your laugh, when the sun shines may they feel your love, and as time passes may they be comforted knowing you are with them ALWAYS. You were such an adorable child. I will always remember that cute little boy singing  and dancing his heart out to Micheal Jackson in his pj's.

Ian was family. He was a brother to myself and others. He had such great talent and drive for music that it pushed all of us to go harder. Never expected you to physically leave before we made it but I know your spirit will watch over us. We love you bro. Fly High.

Ian was truly there for me when I needed him. I loved him because he would just sit and listen. He Ate lunch with me everyday during our senior year. I can imagine him now laughing at me because I would come into class late with McDonalds. I'd anticipate to hear his interesting excuse of why he didn't do his math homework. The Ian I knew loved chocolate peanut butter pop tarts, so I bought him some on his birthday. I may cry now , but Joy comes in the morning. For you are now an ancestor. Until we meet again.

Oh how super heavy our hearts, and spirits are. My family, and I truly are saddened, yet a part of me rejoices, because we will meet again. Ian Burgess that wonderful personality, shining spirit, willingness, and amazing smile will NOT be forgotten, but truly missed. It has been a blessing having you as one of my own, a part of my family for the past 8 months. We miss you sweetheart! My door will always be open.
