Like his paternal grandfather, Jim was also a very creative and skilled Craftsman who could create anything from robust wooden structures to finely built flying model aircraft from scratch. Later his interest in airplanes and the dynamics of flight, led him to pursue his Pilot’s license. His was a skilled Airplane Pilot –known for always being very detail oriented, very meticulous, and extremely Safety conscious. He earned his Multi-Engine license in 1988, later owned his own airplane and enjoyed flying for many years.
