She was Honorary Chair of the 2006 Oglethorpe Alumni Weekend and was a member of the 2006 Circle of Honor. In 2011 she and her late husband were inducted into the Oglethorpe Gray Stone Society.
Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. "Oma," as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her was an avid photographer. She had a passion for capturing memories on film. It was always a joy for her to give and for family members and friends to receive the memories she lovingly recorded.
