She was born in Lithonia, GA the daughter of the late George and Bertha Lackey Wells.
She retired from Big Star.
Survivors include her daughter, Roberta McGhee of Atlanta; her sons, John Goss of Colorado Springs, CO, Leroy Goss of Harrison, TN, Ron Goss of Jefferson, GA; her daughter-in-law, Sonja Goss of Orange Park, FL;her sisters, Alice Poole of Lithonia, and Dorjean Wells of Conyers; her brothers, Daniel Wells and George Wells both of Lithonia; 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11 am in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Knight officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 29 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
