OBITUARY
Joseph Ray Coletta
July 2, 1939 – January 31, 2021

Joseph Ray Coletta died January 31, 2021, at his home in Tucker, GA, following a brief illness.
Mr. Coletta was born July 2, 1939, in Asheville, NC, and grew up in nearby Burnsville, the son of the late Gladys (Chase) and Peter C. Coletta. He received his bachelor’s degree in business from Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, NC. Subsequently, he worked in finance and accounting for several businesses, including Mead Packaging Corporation, and in the 1990s served as a disaster relief officer with the U.S. Small Business Administration, from which he retired. He was a member of area business and community organizations, and a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Tucker, GA.
Immediate family survivors include Judith (Maltba) Coletta, his wife; daughters Robyn Riddle (Ted) and Suzanne Goldberg (Philip); and grandchildren Aleksandra, Nicholas, and Neil Goldberg. Surviving brother and sisters are David Coletta (Dale), Celia Hoke, Frances Young (Stephen), Theresa Coletta, and Irene Coletta.
Funeral services will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville HWY, Tucker, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to a charity of choice.
