He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of the late Leo G. and Emma Jens Brunner.
Dr. Brunner was a retired Lt. Col. of the U.S. Air Force.
At Georgia State University, Dr. Brunner proudly served as a professor.
A member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Tucker the location of his funeral Friday September 25, 2015 at 11:00 am.
Interment in Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain.
Survivors include his children, Carol Rankin of Ft. Worth, Texas; Robert A. Brunner of Charleston, West Virginia, and Conrad Steve Brunner of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jessica Micocci, Holly Ellis, Joanna Baker, and Karl Brunner; his great grandchildren, Garrett Micocci and Braden Ellis.
