Macie Holbrook Sewell of Stockbridge, GA passed away September 19, 2021 at the age of 93. Born in Hartwell, GA, Mrs. Sewell resided in Decatur, Georgia for 60 years prior to moving to Stockbridge, GA in 2016. As a homemaker, she enjoyed baking, gardening, singing in the church choir, camping and socializing with her friends. Mrs. Sewell was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, C. Howard Sewell; parents, Thaddeus Emil Holbrook and Atha Lena Conally Holbrook; brothers Robert “Bob” Holbrook and Edward C. Holbrook. She is survived by her son, Larry H. Sewell of Jackson, GA; Grandson David Lee Sewell and wife Sherron of Chancellor, AL; Granddaughter Lesley Carter and husband David of McDonough, GA; great-grandchildren Christian Sewell, Hunter Sewell, Jonathan Sewell, Andrew Sewell, Matthew Carter and Megan Sewell; sister Betty Holbrook Hall of Dunwoody, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends prior to a graveside service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084 A graveside service will commence at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens immediately following visitation.
