Marshall Francis Williams Sr., 70 of Stone Mountain Georgia passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2020. He was born on September 10, 1950 in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the son of the late Edward Raymond Williams, Sr. and June Hope (Fontes) Williams.
He was the Husband and “Soul mate” of Karen Elaine Sampson Williams; besides his loving wife of 49 years he leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter Kelli Jean Williams and his son Marshall Francis Williams Jr., both of East Providence, Rhode Island as well as 6 grandchildren, Shianne Symone Williams, Juston Dasan Williams, Brooklynne Grace Williams, Chanel Richardson, Herbert Richardson and Dominique Hill, his brothers, Edward R Williams Jr. of Seekonk Ma., Steven J. Williams of Coventry RI. and James F. Williams of California. He also leaves his mother-in-law, whom he cherished from day one of his marriage and referred to her as “Ma” and his daughter-in-law Patricia Madera Williams, whom he loved dearly, six sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, and late brother-in-law, Glenn A. Sampson along with all of his nephews and nieces.
Marshall graduated from East Providence High School and attended the University of Rhode Island. He was employed by Verizon Telephone Company for 30 years until retirement with a short time at U.S. Oil Company before that.
Marshall and his beautiful wife would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in February 2021.
Marshall was a loving father and grandfather, “BePa” to his children and grandchildren. He was genuine, loving, honest, dedicated and a kind person, although he has left us unexpectedly, he has left us with memories we will cherish forever.
