Merlin J. Brineman

Loving father of Jefferson Merlin Brineman (Debra) of Canton, GA, Judi Susan Brineman Gray of Kennesaw, GA. Beloved grandfather of Jake Brineman, Rachel Brineman, Brittany Gray and BreeAnn Gray. He is also survived by his brothers, Roderick Daniel “Danny” Brineman (Kay) of Palatka and Robert Brineman of Kennesaw, GA, loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson O. Brineman and Isadora Bever Brineman and his sisters, Jeanie Larson and Rosabelle Salley.

He was a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana and had been a resident of Putnam County for the past 26 years coming from Stone Mountain, Georgia. He served in the US Army Air Forces and was a veteran of WWII. Merlin retired after 27 years as a mechanic for Delta Airlines. He had been a member of Avondale Baptist Church. In his leisure he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and all types of engine repairs.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 7-9 p.m., Floral Hills Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, where funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, GA.
