

Born on April 10, 1933, in Guánica, Puerto Rico, Nelson was the third of six siblings, between his sisters Rosie and Judy and his brothers Baldo, Felix, and Tony. Nelson proudly served his country in the military before dedicating many years of his life as a skilled butcher and owning his own bodega in Brooklyn, New York. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who valued family, faith, and community. Nelson will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the deep love he shared with those around him.
He is survived by his children: Tony Siso, Nelson Siso Jr., Nancy Santos, Yvonne Siso, and Yvette Tate; his grandchildren: Tanya Hinzman, Matthew Siso, Adam Siso, Mark Siso, Asiah Aponte, Ian Carby, Nydia Santos, Angel Santos, Alec Bush, Zachary Bush, Hannah Shelton, and Joshua Tate; and his great-grandchildren: Mia Siso, Colton Siso, Ava Hinzman, Caroline Hinzman, Charlotte Hinzman, Carmen Siso, Kathleen Siso, Cassadee Siso, CJ Siso, Axel Bush, Arrow Bush, Ruby Aponte, Alma Aponte, and Isaac Carby.
A service to honor Nelson’s life will be held on October 13th at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084. Visitation and viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 p.m.
Nelson will be remembered for the love and laughter he brought to his family and for his deep-rooted faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ.
