Peter Charles Rankine

The mortal life of Peter Charles Rankine began on the 8th day of August in the year of our Lord, 1954. He was birthed by Mavis Delores Rankine and John Dudley Rankine at Kingston Public Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica.

In the early 1980’s, Peter C. Rankine came to the United States with hope to build a brighter future for his family. He mastered the trade of HVAC and Refrigeration, and he excelled with multiple certifications to the top of his class.

In 1987, Peter found himself in Atlanta, Georgia were he shortly began work within his trade at Atlanta Fixtures. After several rewarding years, Peter embarked on a lifelong goal of starting his own business, Rankine Mechanical. By 2006, Peter moved to Portland, Oregon where he embraced another chapter of his life. Peter’s treasures in life were his parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. His numerous sacrifices for loved ones were made without doubt and instead with utter pride and sincere love.

On the 14th day of March 2010, the life of Peter Charles Rankine came to a sudden halt at Adventist Medical Center of Portland, Oregon.

He leaves behind to mourn his absence and cherish his memories: his children, Maureen E. (Calvin) Denerson, Dean Rankine, Brian Richards, Dahruba A. (Porsha) Rankine, Tafari K. (Diedre) Rankine, Kareem R. Rankine, Akelia M. Rankine, Zekelia T. Rankine and Oketo A. Rankine; and grandchildren, Jonathan Denerson, Aijalon Jones, Christopher Underwood, Nastasia Rankine, Elijah J. Rankine, Deja Haynes, Christian A. Anderson, Elisha J. Rankine, Jaylen D. Jordan, Tafari Rankine Jr, Taylor Denerson, Kamira Rankine, Madison I. Jordan and Braeden Denerson.

He is also survived by Mavis E. Rankine (mother) and John D. Rankine (father), as well as the following: his companion, Colleen Thompson; and siblings, Walter, Michael, Fiona, Carl, Dwight, Janet, Easton, Jean and Pamela; and a host of relatives and friends.

Peter’s lifelong journey added a branch of the Rankine legacy that will live forever, as he will be eternally missed.
