Phyllis E Clark

Phyllis Elaine Clark was born on February 23, 1930, in Nitro, West Virginia, to loving parents Sherman and Yutha Gibbs. Throughout her long and beautiful life, Phyllis was known for her gentle spirit, warm heart, and deep love for her family, friends, and faith.

Phyllis enjoyed many simple pleasures that brought her great joy. Until well into her 80s, she loved traveling to different cities, spending time in nature, and bird watching. She also found happiness in sewing, knitting, quilting, reading her Bible, attending church, and making cherished memories with the people she loved.

Phyllis leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her family. She is survived by her children: Candice Clark of Golden, Colorado; Randall Clark of Evergreen, Colorado; Mark Clark (Kay) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and Sandra (Rodney) Finley of Lawrenceville, Georgia. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Tia (Bradley) McLaughlin, Maggie Wann, Michelle Finley, and Tony Finley (Zoey); her great-grandchildren, Roman Finley, Tiffany, Madison, Allison, McKenzie, and Adam; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Yutha Gibbs; her beloved husband, Arlie “Jack” Clark; and her sisters, Pauline (Ronald) Walters, Charlotte (Cletus) Hackett, and Lucille (Lewis) Kay.

Phyllis will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her faith, kindness, love of family, and appreciation for the beauty of life will remain a lasting part of the legacy she leaves behind.

May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of God, and may the memories she created with her family and friends bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
