He was born in Lafollette, Tennesee, the son of the late John Riley and Emma Irick Broyles.
Mr. Broyles was an Army veteran and worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation as a Supervisor of Maintenance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rowena Russell Broyles.
Survivors include his daughters, Jane S. Knowles of Jonesboro, GA and Linda Wellman of Manassas, VA; his grandchildren, Emily Knowles and Bobby Knowles.
Graveside service Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2 pm in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Dr. Jim Higgins officiating.
