Becky is survived by her son, Chris Clower, daughter-in-law, Natalia Clower, and grandchildren Alex Smith and Tiffany Clower, of Kirkland, WA; and daughter Caroline (Carrie) Sheppard and son-in-law Andy Sheppard, of Decatur, GA. Becky is preceded in death by her husband, Marion (Chip) G. Clower, Jr. of Fairfax, VA.
Becky was born on December 26, 1945 in Bristol, TN. In 1967, she graduated magna cum laude from Centre College in Danville, KY. She worked for many years in education, as an elementary school teacher, a substitute teacher, and a music librarian.
Becky and Chip were married in 1968, and lived in Rochester, NY and Tucker, GA before settling in Fairfax, VA, where Becky lived until 2015. At that time, she moved to the Park Springs community in Stone Mountain, GA.
Celebrations of Becky’s life are being planned at Park Springs and in Virginia later in the summer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of Becky’s favorite organizations: The Carter Center, City of Fairfax Band Association, Doctors Without Borders, Centre College of Kentucky, or PAWS Atlanta.
