Dick was born August 15, 1931, in Barron, Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After earning his degree at Auburn University, he spent his career as a research microbacteriologist with the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. He retired in the late 1980s. Dick was the founding scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 83 at Northwoods United Methodist Church in Doraville. He was a devoted family man, sports fan, outdoorsman and dog lover.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtice; and brother, Gene.
He is survived by sons Richard Bolin Jr. of Norcross and significant other Sherry Brock, and Alan Green and wife Connie of Cumming; daughter Lynn Albertson and husband Keith of Doraville; grandsons, Nicholas, Louis and Joseph Albertson, all of Doraville; sister Joan Griffin and husband Warren of Macon; sister-in-law Barbara Prater of East Point; and his loyal dog, Daisy.
He and Myrtice often welcomed neighbors and friends over to share holidays and other occasions. He was a loving husband, father, friend and grandfather with a gentle good humor and easygoing demeanor.
