So sorry to hear of Buzzy's passing. He was always so laid back and fun to be around. I remember when we first moved to Stratford Road in 1964, when we first met he had a pet squirrel that would run up his leg and sit on his shoulder. I knew then he was a character. Always thought of him as a buddy, no matter he was a year older, and part of the Stratford Road gang of kids I will always have fond memories of growing up with. Alan Griffin (up the street).

I can't believe you're gone, Buzzy. So many memories of you! You were hilarious, thoughtful, so many other things. You kept us all laughing all the time. You had a serious side too. My life was forever changed from knowing you. You will always be remembered and always missed.

Buzzy was one of those rare individuals that I might not see for some time but could pick up where we left off. I’m so sorry. He was truly someone you just couldn’t help but to loving.

I grew up with Buzzy. I think at one point we called him Bussey. He was one of my heroes. I loved the entire Samford family. All the Gannons did. Buzzy was the best athlete I knew in high school. He had the biggest heart. He was the sweetest person. He was the most fun to be with. Everyone loved him. Everyone. He made people happy just by his presence. I have not seen him for decades but I loved him so. He was one of a kind. I have a mental picture of Buzzy giving George Headley a hug and Jack Snell too and Truett. He knew how to love people. He was an amazing man. You cannot have a bigger heart or one more full of love than he did. God bless him and all the Samfords, we loved so dearly at FBC Avondale and Avondale High School. Here's to Buzzy, my hero!!!

We are so sorry to here of uncle Buzzy's passing. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.
My memories will always be that no matter how many people were around you always knew when he was. He had a voice that would carry for miles and was always happy and joking around.

He was good hearted and I could tell he really cared about his family. I remember working with him some several years ago at T&B

You will be missed, Buzz. I regret not keeping in closer contact over the years. Rest in peace, cousin.
