Rosario “Charo” Lopez, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She was born on October 24, 1936, in Havana, Cuba, to Augusto Escarpanter and Ana Jimenez. She married Antonio Lopez on January 21, 1956, and enjoyed 54 happy years of marriage. She arrived in the United States from Cuba in 1969 in pursuit of a better life for her family. Rosario was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her joy was her family. She had many friends and her home was always open to all. She was always ready to prepare a meal for anyone who arrived and many celebrations in her loving home. She had a huge heart and gave of herself openly. Rosario is survived by her son, Antonio Jesus Lopez, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Lopez; daughter, Rosario Caridad Carver, and son-in-law, Jeff Carver; grandchildren, Edwin Javier Aragon and his wife Sara Aragon, Fernando Gabriel Aragon, Lucas Jeffrey Carver, Kristina Elizabeth Chandler and her husband Hunter Chandler, and Amanda Rachel Hennick and her husband, John Hennick; great-grandchildren, Antonio James Aragon, Jacob Javier Aragon, Emily Kate Chandler, and Amelia Grace Hennick; sister, Ida Doyague; nephew, Jose Doyague and family, and niece, Ana Gordy and family.
Visitation will take place from 7 pm to 10 pm on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
Memorial Service will take place at 11 am on Monday, June 25, 2018, at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
