She was born in Hickory, NC the daughter of the late Gaston and Atry Johnson Myers.
She was a teacher for Wilkes County Schools.
Preceded in death by her husband Rev. Grady Guy Walton, Sr.
She is survived by her children, G. Guy Walton, Jr. and Dorothy Dean Walton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 2:00 pm in Smoke Rise Baptist Church with Rev. Ernie Forrester officiating. Interment will follow in South View Cemetery, Covington, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:30-8:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
