Mrs. Nancy Rudean Champion a longtime resident of Tucker died Wednesday the 18th of June, 2025. She was born in LaGrange, Georgia, the daughter of the late Royce and Grace Middlebrooks. Rudean attended West Georgia College, receiving an associate degree. While working in LaGrange, Rudean met the love of her life, John Lewis Champion. Rudean and John were married for fifty-one years until his death. Rudean and John had one son, Michael Royce Champion, who Rudean dedicated her life to his care.
Rudean was a longtime and active member of Briarlake Baptist Church, Decatur, including the Agape Sunday School class. Rudean was a friend to all. She was a supporter of various causes for special needs children and adults.
Surviving are her beloved son, Michael; a number of nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held Sunday the 29th of June, 2025 at one o’clock at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cremation, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, Georgia 30084. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Family Initiatives Residences, Inc. (by mail: FIR, Inc.; P.O.
