Sara Marie Floor

Born in Marietta, GA, daughter of Douglas R. and Rebecca Morris Floor. Sara was a member of Tucker First UMC and worked at Northside Hospital with the Behavioral Health team - Emergency Room.

She was a graduate of Easley High School (Easley, SC), earned her BA from Clemson University (Clemson, SC), and her MTT from Ashford University (Clinton, IA).

Sara was an avid music lover; member of her church choir, orchestra, handbell choir; a flutist with Peachtree Symphonic Winds. She was an alumna of Carolina Youth Symphony, a member of the Clemson University Tiger Band and the University of South Carolina Marching Band.

More recently, Sara was a member of Clemson University Tiger Band Association and served as the Regional Representative, a member of the Clemson University Women’s Alumni Council, and Junior League of Dekalb County.

She is survived by her fiancé Adam Sailer of Dallas, GA; sister Kathryn Floor-Gee (Seth) of Norcross, GA; a nephew; and her parents.

Family will receive friends at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Tucker, GA on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Tucker First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in the K Garden.

A memorial service will be held at Easley First Baptist Church in Easley, SC on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to MUSC Kidney Transplant Unit; Rutledge Tower, 9th Floor; 135 Rutledge Avenue; Charleston, SC 29425.
