Pina devoted her life to her family and to the man she loved deeply, her husband of 56 years, Aniello Vellino. Married in their hometown of Anacapri, Italy, Pina and Aniello began their life together with an adventurous spirit that carried them across the ocean. Their first ten years of marriage were spent building a home on the island of Bermuda, where they welcomed their two sons. Work later brought them to Atlanta, Georgia, where they settled in Tucker and welcomed their daughter.
Being married to a chef, Pina spent many of her days working side by side with Aniello as they ran the beloved Capri Cafe in Tucker. The restaurant was more than a business—it was an extension of their home and a reflection of Pina’s warmth, generosity, and love of caring for others.
When she was not in the restaurant, Pina found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She could often be found tending to her garden, seated at her sewing machine, or baking her famous coconut cakes for family and friends. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of something cooking.
Pina is survived by her loving husband Aniello Vellino; her children Joseph and Angela Vellino, and Sabrina and Jeff Buser; her grandchildren Ciro and Isabella (mother Tabitha) Vellino, Ryan and Dylan Buser, and Marco and Nico Vellino; and her great-grandson Mateo Vellino. She is also survived by her sister Maria and Cataldo Maresca Cappiello, her brother Aniello and Agnese Maresca, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Giuseppe and Giuseppina Maresca; her beloved son Ciro Vellino; and her sisters Gemma Maresca Federico, Angelina Maresca, and Margherita Maresca Vinaccia.
Pina will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her quiet strength, and the love she poured into every meal, stitch, and moment shared with those she held dear.
A funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Tucker, Georgia, on January 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive guests at a reception following the service at Holy Cross.
